What is Erasable Ink used for?
When given a stack of papers during a meeting, have you ever realised that only one of them was crucial? Toshiba saw how much paper was being wasted and created the amazing idea of erasable ink.
Through this motion, Toshiba started an exciting new era of imaging products that is busy rewriting the way we look at the world of printers.
Best Erasable Ink Benefits
The printer works on standard paper but has two printing options:
- Regular black ink for use on documents that will be stored and utilised later.
- And “magic” blue ink. This ink can print everything, including images, that you would have had to print in black, but if you put it back in the printer, it will be wiped so that the paper may be used again.
Pilot erasable pens and various highlighters can also be erased in addition to the erasable printer ink.
According to Toshiba, one sheet of paper can be reused four times on average. Although a lot rely on what was printed, there are users who claim to have used it more than four times.
There are primarily two restrictions when erasing and reprinting with Toshiba.
The first is that in order to print on the paper again, it must remain neat. Creasing paper can make it tough to feed through the printer and makes it appear less professional.
The second is that after being erased, the ink still shows up on the paper, almost as if you had printed with white ink. This is most obvious on pure white paper, but when you print over it again, the new ink covers up the white traces. Because of this, it is also advised not to only use erasable ink when dealing with private or sensitive material.
This blue ink is pricey, but there are several advantages. Although the blue ink takes some getting used to at first, it functions fine, and Toshiba says it will release other colours in the future. Even if there is still much room for improvement, the invention of erasable ink is a significant step toward establishing an office space that is more environmentally friendly.
